Job Description: Faith Baptist Church in Kenmare, North Dakota strives to be a Bible preaching Baptist church. Our members believe in being born again and believe strongly in working hard to reach those that need to know our Lord and Savior. Faith Baptist Church was established in 1970 and currently has a weekly attendance averaging 40-60 people. Faith Baptist Church has weekly Sunday School for adults and children followed by the morning service. Other weekly events include Kids club for the kids, youth group, men's and women’s weekly Bible study, young couples Bible study and Fellowship in Christian Athletes. Faith Baptist Church is located in Kenmare, North Dakota. Kenmare is located in the northwestern part of North Dakota and has a population of around 1,000 people. Kenmare offers a nice preschool through 12th grade school that also has many extracurricular activities for kids of all ages. Faith Baptist Church shares with the community other local churches including Nazareth Lutheran, Our Saviour Catholic Church, Assembly of God, and The Nazarene Church. Faith Baptist Church is looking for a lead Pastor that will help us grow, preach the Bible, live the Bible, and help reach those that need to know our Lord. Some updates that we have just implemented are a new constitution and a new website. Faith Baptist Church offers a parsonage that has been recently updated and is located right by the church and directly across the street from Kenmare Public School. Pastoral Requirements and Responsibilities (in no particular order): - Plan and conduct worship services: prepare and deliver sermons and lead observances of the church by-laws. - Lead the church in an effective evangelism emphasis and in a caring ministry for those in the church and the community. - Lead with an effective emphasis on visiting sick and shut-in members and prospects. - Conduct funerals, perform wedding ceremonies, conduct counseling when appropriate - Lead the church in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating all church programs and ministries in conjunction with Deacon and Trustee Boards. - Cooperate with Conservative Baptist Association leadership in matters of mutual interest and concerns. - Represent the church in civic matters along with other members of the church leadership. - Act as moderator of the church business meeting (unless another leader is elected moderator, i.e. Deacon and/or Trustee Board member). - Work with deacons, board of trustees, church officers, and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities. - Serve as administrator of the paid church staff; supervise the work of the ministry staff, both volunteer and paid ministers and directors.
