Lead Pastor

Country Bible Church’s pastor must meet all biblical qualifications of an elder and have a clear sense of God’s call to pastoral ministry. We seek a pastor who uses primarily exposition, along with occasional topical styles of preaching, applying the Word of God to our lives. To be successful, we believe our pastor must be able to clearly communicate a biblical vision for the church and inspire people to pursue it. We seek an effective leader committed to equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry and sending them out with appropriate accountability. We desire a pastor who will lead in cooperation with the deacons and, preferably, has prior pastoral experience. We seek an individual passionate about discipling all ages within our church, reaching out to our local community and furthering worldwide missions. Qualifications: * Meets the scriptural qualifications for an elder * Trained for the ministry at a recognized fundamental college and/or seminary * Some Senior Pastor experience is preferred * Is an Independent Fundamental Churches of America (IFCA) member, or is willing to become one Skills Needed: * Strong expository preaching * Resourceful * Self-motivated * Strong relational skills * Creative, innovative and capable teacher * Small group facilitator Pastoral and Personal Traits Desired: * Spiritually and emotionally mature * “Team consciousness” in leadership * Loves people * Mission-minded, both locally and globally * Humble * Compassionate and encouraging to others * Sensitive to correction and constructive criticism * Good sense of humor * Patient with self * Man that spends time in prayer
