Lead Pastor, Dr. Charles Kyker, tells the membership class that we want to reach two types of people at Christ Church: unchurched and those who want to reach unchurched. Job Qualifications: - Fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ: personal devotional life, tithing, serving, witnessing - Genuine love for people - Passion for reaching unchurched people - Proven Leadership - Ability to relate well with all types of people - Computer knowledge in Microsoft programs - Ply-ability & Willingness to Learn - Commitment to Christ Church and goals set forth by the Lead Pastor and Leadership Team - Team Player with the staff and lay leadership - Be able to work in a fast paced environment - Must be a self-starter Job Responsibilities: - Become the face of the campus for leadership of campus that guards and models Christ Church DNA of Reaching the Unchurched and Developing fully devoted followers of Christ. - Fully engage in teaching team model of preparing and preaching messages each week – we are two to three weeks out. - Work with the Life Group Pastor and lay pastors to train and equip lay leadership in pastoral care - Identify, train, and equip emerging leaders - Provide pre-marriage counseling and other types of counseling to congregation as needed - Teach (preach) at respective campus or other venues within the CC family as needed. Regional Student Ministry Director / Student Pastor Location: Hickory, North Carolina Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview The Regional Student Ministry Director provides visionary leadership, strategy, and oversight for student ministry (grades 6–12) across all campuses of Christ Church while personally leading the student ministry at the Main Campus. This leader will champion a unified, disciple-making strategy across locations, invest in campus leaders, and create environments where students are known, connected, and growing in their faith. This role requires both high-level leadership and hands-on ministry engagement. Key Responsibilities Multi-Site Leadership (Regional Director) - Provide vision, strategy, and alignment for student ministry across all campuses ( currently 5 campuses) - Develop and coach campus student leaders to ensure healthy, growing ministries - Create scalable systems for programming, communication, volunteer development, and discipleship - Ensure consistency in theology, teaching quality, and ministry philosophy across campuses - Collaborate with central ministries for alignment - Evaluate ministry effectiveness using data, feedback, and key metrics Main Campus Leadership (Student Pastor) - Lead all aspects of the 6th–12th grade ministry at the Main Campus - Serve as the primary communicator and vision-caster for students and families - Build a strong volunteer leadership culture through recruiting, training, and discipleship - Create engaging weekly environments, small groups, and discipleship pathways - Plan and execute key ministry moments (camps, retreats, mission trips, outreach events) - Be present and relational in the lives of students both inside and outside the church Leadership & Culture - Be a visible, approachable leader for students, parents, and volunteers - Foster a culture of discipleship, belonging, and spiritual growth - Equip volunteers to lead students in meaningful relationships and faith development - Champion the mission of helping students take next steps in their faith - Do “whatever it takes” (short of sin) to reach students with the Gospel Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required (ministry or related field preferred) - 5+ years of experience in student ministry or church leadership - Proven track record of growing and leading healthy ministry environments - Experience in multi-site ministry strongly preferred - Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills - Ability to think strategically while executing at a high level - Self-starter who thrives in a team-based, fast-paced environment - Theologically aligned with Wesleyan beliefs What We’re Looking For - A visionary leader who can scale ministry across multiple campuses - A relational pastor who genuinely connects with students and families - A developer of leaders who multiplies impact through others - A communicator who can clearly and effectively teach God’s Word - A culture builder who creates energy, momentum, and spiritual growth To Apply Please send your resume and cover letter to: church@christnc.com
