Senior Pastor, Calvary Church | Cass County, IndianaOverview Calvary Church is a historic, mission-minded congregation with deep roots in our community dating back to the early 1800s. As we look to the future, we are seeking a Senior Pastor who will help us reach and disciple the next generation while honoring the faithful legacy that has brought us here. This role focuses on engaging young families, students, and the broader community, while also serving the whole church body—including our senior members—with pastoral care and teaching. Key Responsibilities - Lead and develop next-generation and family ministries - Build relationships in the community through outreach and evangelism - Preach and teach as part of the pulpit ministry - Equip and develop volunteers and ministry leaders - Assist with pastoral care (visitation, counseling, weddings, funerals) - Collaborate with staff and church leadership (Session, ministry teams) ? Help plan and lead worship services and special events. Qualifications Character & Calling - Meets the biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 - Demonstrates a clear calling to pastoral ministry - Teachable, humble, and team-oriented - Passion for evangelism, discipleship, and church growth Theology - Affirms historic Reformation theology (5 Solas) - Aligns with our biblically grounded, socially conservative convictions Experience & Education - Bachelor’s degree required; seminary training preferred - Minimum 3–5 years of ministry experience - Experience in building or revitalizing ministries (especially with youth/families) - Cross-cultural ministry experience is a plus Personal - Married with children preferred, but not required Who We Are - Biblically grounded & expositional in preaching and teaching - Reformed in theology, with clarity on key doctrinal distinctives - Mission-driven, supporting local and global outreach - Community-engaged, partnering to address real needs (food, housing, etc.) - Worship style: blended (hymns and contemporary), with observance of the Christian calendar - Intergenerational church seeking to grow younger while honoring long-standing members.
