Our goal is to hire a leader who loves youth and wants to help them become the best for God's glory.
Duties:
- Provide spiritual guidance and mentorship to youth in the church, community, and our school.
- Lead and facilitate youth group bible study meetings every Wednesday.
- Lead Sunday morning youth classes.
- Carryout Bible studies, and other spiritual activities with other youth groups.
- Plan and organize events and activities for youth, such as retreats, camps, and community service projects.
- Offer Christian counseling and support to youth facing personal challenges or crises.
- Develop relationships with parents and families of youth to provide support and resources.
- Participate in school chapels and school board meetings of our churches Christian Academy.
- Be a part of a weekly fellowship group.
- Preach in the absence of the Lead Pastor.
- Recruit, train, and support youth leaders and volunteers.
- Regularly meet with volunteers for training, encouragement, and spiritual support.
- Maintain a welcoming, nurturing environment where students can grow spiritually and deepen their relationship with Jesus.
- Work with volunteers to effectively disciple students.
- Work with other youth ministries in the area where there are already pre-existing relationships.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Christian teachings and principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to connect with and relate to youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals going through difficult situations.
- Strong organizational skills for event planning and coordination.
- Conflict management skills to address conflicts within the youth group.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers.

Pay: $40,000 - $48,000 per year

Qualifications:
- Spiritual Growth & Discipleship: Committed to growing and nurturing one's own spiritual walk with Jesus.
- Mission & Vision: Consistently uphold and promote the church’s mission.
- Pastoral Heart: Serve as a visible and approachable leader within the church community, actively engaging with students and guiding them in their faith.
- Teaching & Preaching: Capable of effectively teaching and preaching, able to communicate the scriptures in an engaging and relatable manner.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts in a relevant field preferred.
