Job Description: WORSHIP LEADER ANCHOR BEND CHURCH Richmond, Texas · Hybrid Contract · 90-Day Initial Term Welcome Home. At Anchor Bend Church, those aren't just words we say — they're how we live. We're looking for a skilled Worship Leader who doesn't just perform — someone who leads people into the presence of God. THE OPPORTUNITY This is more than a music role. You'll be the person who sets the spiritual atmosphere for 850+ people every week. You'll lead our Worship Team with excellence, curate a modern and current sound, and help us build a worship culture that moves people — not just musically, but spiritually. We passionately pursue excellence here. We believe that what we celebrate gets repeated, and we're ready to celebrate great worship again. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll lead the full Sunday worship experience — song selection, band leadership, rehearsals, and platform presence. You'll recruit and train a worship team from within our church family and the greater Houston community. You’ll plan and organize worship experiences to meet weekly time requirements. You'll build authentic connection with our congregation and create moments where people encounter God. You'll operate as a culture carrier who honors up, down, and around, and who brings a "can do" attitude to every Sunday. WHO YOU ARE You have a thriving relationship with God. You spend time with Him daily, reading your bible, praying, and worshiping Him. You are a gifted vocalist who can genuinely carry a room. You have a heart for people, not just a gift for performance. You're hungry, teachable, and magnetic — you light up the room when you walk in. You're aligned with a modern, current worship sound (think Elevation, Maverick City, Brandon Lake, Bethel, Hillsong), and you pursue excellence because it honors God, not just because it sounds good. You understand that who you are is more important than what you do.You're Jesus-centered, relationally strong, and ready to go all in. THE DETAILS This is a hybrid contract role based in Richmond, Texas, with a 90-day initial term and the opportunity to grow into a long-term relationship.
