Senior Pastor – Southern Baptist Church Full-Time Position Overview Our church is seeking a Senior Pastor called by God and aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. The pastor will provide Christ-centered preaching, spiritual leadership, and compassionate shepherding as we pursue the Great Commission together. Responsibilities - Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, faithfulness, and conviction. - Administer the ordinances of Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper according to Southern Baptist beliefs. - Provide pastoral care, counseling, and visitation; conduct weddings and funerals. - Lead and equip church staff, deacons, and ministry teams. - Guide the church’s mission, vision, and ministries in cooperation with SBC partners and the Cooperative Program. - Perform other duties as the church may prescribe. Qualifications - Strong testimony of faith and call to pastoral ministry. - Ordained (or willing to be ordained) in a Southern Baptist church. - Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. - Seminary training preferred; pastoral experience strongly desired. - Proven preaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
